Mikala's true passion lies in fitness, with an emphasis on helping women like herself understand how to create and sustain a healthy body image. Never one to shy away from a new challenge, she has already racked up impressive fitness experiences that began in the high school weight room. Things have only escalated from there! In early 2015, she competed in NPC Bikini Bodybuilding. Besides learning that it takes 2 weeks to stop looking like an oompah loompa, she gained immense insight into what it takes to mentally and physically push the body to change aesthetically. In the year following, she has pursued powerlifting, competing in 3 sanctioned meets. At her first meet in September 2015 she secured a UPA Oregon State record total, and in 2016 at UPA Bars Fully Loaded she won best overall female lifter (they gave her an actual sword for that). The only thing to rival her hunger for gains and to help others pursue a life of strength first is her hunger for all things carbs!
"Whether I can reach 50 people, or only 1 person, my ultimate desire is to HELP. I've personally dealt with many destructive behavioral habits in the past and diving deeper into the fitness world has changed every aspect of my life. My goal is to meet you on your level, whether you want to be a powerlifter, lose weight, or get a bigger butt, I'm here to coach you through it but also teach you new habits and how to independently reach your goals!"
